I'll start with the good news because the bad news part is a lot longer...I just ordered the battery for my camera to work on my Kodak docking station :) YAY! Hopefully this time everything will work out fine. I could just use disposable batteries in it... but I hate how much they cost... thats why for christmas one of the main things I wanted was a rechargeable battery thing with some packs of rechargeables so that I could avoid having to pay so much for the disposable kind. I also asked for a Camera but it was stolen not long after I got it. Very pecuiliar... but anyhow... My boyfriend bought me a new camera some time last spring and its a Kodak taht is compatible with the docking station (which I still had because it was not with the camera whenever the first one I had was stolen)He got me the C875 model and its a good camera and all btu it has this problem where it will not take my rechargeables even when all my other battery operated devices run on them and indicate that the battery is full. I contacted Kodak and asked them why my camera wouldnt take my rechargeables nor work with my charging dock and they told me I needed a certain kind of battery - so I found that battery on ebay and it is on its way to me (at least I freakin hope so) haha. SO now I can have better pictures :)Sometimes my boyfriend lets me use the camera he got from his grandfather when he passed but for some reason the picture quality isnt as good as the Kodaks - on the other hand the battery life is much better. So the point is, is that once my camera starts working again I can put pictures up of items...Also if the Condo stuff works out I should have much better lighting, space, and less nasty backgrounds (the trailer I am taking them in now is brown (it was made in the 70;s) and the lighting shows up with an orange tint in photographs... plus the light is not strong at all in here... even with both the lights on and tv on in the bedroom its still really dark haha. I can barely read in there.BAD:So as if I have not already been slow enough at this whole store thing, a whole new situation has arisen and it will probably slow me down even more. College is starting soon... I do not drive whatsoever so I decide I should move closer right? So my mom pitches in and buys a condo downtown and tells me and my boyfriend that we need to pay the same rent to her that we are paying right now, here at the RV Dump. Which sounds like a great deal, I, myself, am very greatful for it. BUT... theres a problem. Well, besides the HOA fees which for the most part go unadvertised in the prices... In order to make enough to pay my mom back right now my boyfriend needs to take some special tests having to do with his Hardware/software + Networking classes... I think just one of the tests costs about $207 while the other is about 100... He needs to take these tests in order to be able to get a higher paying job.. because working as a gas station night shift manager just really doesnt pay THAT GREAT. Unfortunately, during the time my boyfriend was trying to get his GED, his mom died and he has given that up for about half a year now... and now he's fidning out that not only do these Computer companies want you to have an A+ Certificate in Hardware/software/networking but they also want you to have your GED... and who wouldn't expect that? Even Burger King wants a fuckin GED. What kind of bullshit is that?Meh. So I don't know what is going to happen with that. Fortunately, we dont have to pay rent on the condo for the first month, so I am helping my boyfriend to pass these tests for september so that he can afford to live at the condo with me. I dont want us to live apart.. I moved to freakin Austin just to be with him... If i end up going to the college here without him its almost a fuckin waste besides the education part... I definitely didnt come to austin for their local community college basics (I plan on transfering to UT for my electives) Hopefully my family can give him a bit of a break while he tries to get his computer career going but I know they already do so much. It fuckin sucks. Sometimes I feel as if there is no justice for the poor in capitalism. People say that Capitalism provides the chance for those born in poverty to rise out of it... well now thats a bunch of bullshit... It COULD provide that opportunity... unfortunately the Free Market system is something that changes in time in that the somewhat unregulated money supply slowly builds up in the hands of the smallest, richest portion of the population... those who do have the advantages to get ahead and the stomp on the poor and disabled to get there. When you take a bigger slice of the pie, that means there is less pie for the rest of the world. I guess living in America has a certain sick illusion to it... there are so many successful people here... I think it gives Americans the idea that everyone could be a "success" if they all tried harder... NOT EVERYONE CAN BE SUCCESSFUL - People of industrialized countries need to understand that if the wealthy people in America aren't taking the resources from their "fellow" Americans, then their taking it from some poor exploited third world nation... As a tiny percentage of the entire worlds population, we "civillized nations" (countries of North America, Europe) eat more than half of the world's food. And of course, we're a bunch of fat and blind gluttons. I know that competition is the reason that these businesses can raise the bar on their employee standards... but come on.. if the job you're offering doesn't require that much skill than there is no reason to require that someone have something that does exceed that skill... Yah, I understand that if two people apply - one having a GED and the other without one... the one with the GED is going to get hired. But to require a GED... that's just fucking bullshit. Way to keep the people down. Now you have to pay tons of money to pay for a test to get into a job. Now you have to put so much money into a loan to go to college that you're going to be paying it for the rest of your fuckin sorry 9to5 life. It costs money to have this and that liscense - Land of the Free my ass - Land of the Free for those who can fucking afford it. Ever since we exported all of our industrial jobs - eh, the ones that actually made the US the super power it once was (I believe we're about to experience a fucked up decline unless these nasty republicans keep waging their economic wars and threatening other countries to cooperate with our bullshit) Well anyways yah, ever since we got rid of all the manufacturing jobs America now has service based jobs (great for lazy americans and all) and of course... making money off ANY FUCKING THING they can think of...Want to Fish? Gotta PAY(but if you want to buy farmed animal flesh, oh well just go right ahead, we'll make it fucking easy for you too) - I dont see this as a conservationalist issue for shit.Want to Get Married? Gotta PAY(and pay even more if you don't take the class where we teach you the AMERICAN way to raise your family haha WHAT? Pay to get out of a propaganda lecture? You call this freedom? Well if I have freedom to say what the hell I want then I want the freedom to hear whatever the hell I want and if I have to pay to not hear something - well I dont think thats very fuckin free. ) Want to start an independent business only to get squashed by the super giants like Walmart? Gotta PAYWant to breathe Oxygen? GOTTA PAY (well this one hasn't exactly happened... yet) Already there is a price for every fucking thing but in a natural way - like I could drive somewehre in a car - but it would cost gas (and of course a car if you don't have one) or you could walk - which seems free - but you actually have to burn calories - which means you have to have food? Don't want to grow food... gotta buy it... - Also you gotta pay for the time cost of the slower option. And thats fine... But when the government comes in and tries to make me pay money for shit - fuck them dude. Haven't they already owned enough of me and everybody the fuck else? So yah, Lets say my boyfriend makes enough to pay for his tests this month... well thats just fucking great - but now how is he going to pay rent? How is he going to fuckin eat? Well fuck it cause they don't care. They;ll get their money either way. I just got really side tracked... anyways - now that there are going to be HOA fees, Electricity bills, and more expenses in our new place I won't be able to afford to have as much as I would like in my store... that was the main point. I just like to ramble. I am hopin that the distance between me and my boyfriend that may have to ensue doesn't break us up.. because that'd really fucking suck after a whole year of living together.. to break up something like that in order to ensure a semi-decent life in a capitalist society that cares nothing for its numbers, uh, I mean people. If you try to fight it, you will become one of the forgotten.
